BIWOTA Weekend – Radio and BBQ by the water
Fire up the barbecue, dust off the portable gear, and join us as we take part in the annual British Inland Waterways On The Air (BIWOTA) activity weekend!
We’ll be setting up outdoors to put our club on the air as part of this nationwide special event, making contacts from alongside one of Britain’s beautiful waterways.
Whether you’re keen to operate, log contacts, help with the station setup, or simply enjoy good company and a burger, everyone is welcome.
No experience with portable operating? No problem! Come along and see how it’s done, have a go on the air, and enjoy a relaxed day of radio in the great outdoors.
The event will take place over the BIWOTA weekend (29 August onwards), with the exact date and location to be confirmed. Keep an eye on the club website and social media for the latest details.
