Bunker Busters
On Sunday 26th July G4ATH was active from Bunker B/G-2416 Pilling Beach Defence Battery as part of Bunkerfest 26. The location chosen also allowed us to activate multiple On the Air schemes including 2 Parks as well as a World Wide Flora Fauna
We worked 13 DXCCs including England (22), Germany (7), Netherlands (5), Belgium (5) ,Italy (3), France (3), Slovenia (3), Scotland, Isle of Man, Portugal, Finland, Poland and Spain.
54 QSO’s including 3 X Bunker to Bunker and 10 X Park to Park.
Our Best DX was Finland - OH6GAZ 1,165 miles!
Equipment used was an Icom 705 running 10w with a Sotabeams Band Hopper on a 12m Mast
